La Islita Boutique Hotel

Boutique Hotel
Masaya & Granada
de la alcaldia, 2c al lago, 1.5 al sur, Av el cisne, Granada, Nicaragua

La Islita Boutique Hotel in Granada, Nicaragua is the one of the newest and most comfortable boutique hotels in the heart of the town’s colonial historic center. Its hosts invite their guests to relax in an intimate and stylish setting, offering modern amenities with old-world Spanish Colonial charm. The town’s major attractions, restaurants, language schools and museums are only a few steps away. La Islita Boutique Hotel is a great place for travelers to use as their home to explore the beauty and culture of Nicaragua.

La Islita originally was a shell of a property ideally located in a quiet spot near the city center. Throughout its construction, we aimed to respect the surrounding environment as much as possible, cost permitting. Using reclaimed wood, recycled roof tiles and doors from deteriorating haciendas in the area, we designed La Islita Boutique Hotel around the gigantic mango tree which is the heart of the property.

We also rescued the high-end furniture in the suites from a now-demolished Miami Beach hotel. Other design features, such as the wood columns, colonial floor tiles and wrought ironwork, are all the craftsmanship of local artisans.

Vision and persistence were essential for this labor of love in order to convert La Islita Boutique Hotel into what it is today: a stylish and intimate space that blends the old with the new. We hope your stay with us is as comfortable as if you were in your own home.

La Islita has the best location in Granada, ideally located at the end of a safe and quiet street, only two short blocks from the main attractions and restaurants.

Granada offers a wide variety of attractions in and around the city, and we can help arrange daily excursions tailored to your interests and activity level.

Las Isletas, an archipelago of 365 little volcanic islands, are right on the shores of Granada. You can explore them by personalized motorboat, kayak or paddle board.

The nearby Masaya Volcano is a popular destination that promises stunning views of the lava lake in the steaming active crater, best viewed at sunset.

The Laguna de Apoyo is a beautiful crater lake where you can spend the day relaxing and swimming in its warm clear waters. You can also explore the arts and crafts villages of Los Pueblos Blancos that are nestled along the ridge.
